i've been watching penny de los santos on creativeLIVE this weekend.
so...
this morning...
i made a bowl of oatmeal...
then got out the step ladder to shoot it from overhead.
tonight...
i made yakisoba.
as i removed the ingredients from the refrigerator...
i already knew i'd be shooting the prep...
as well as the finished product...
from the step ladder.
we've had that step ladder for years...
and i may have used it once or twice...
to get a bowl that was on the top shelf in the cabinet...
because mrchazman wasn't home to get it for me.
but i have a feeling...
it's going to be a constant companion of mine...
and will no longer look brand new...
even though it's at least ten.
oh...
and unlike penny...
i'm eating this.
food. cooking. eating. photography. they go together.

Be careful on that ladder. You know you're a little klutzy.
ReplyDelete@alecia...such confidence you have in me. i was already thinking that. as i balanced myself on the cutting board...hovering above the coffee pot...i thought that perhaps i should find another setup. for the bao bun photo...i set the tray just inside the patio door. much safer!
